Arconic Engines (AEN) Wichita Falls, TX is seeking a Process Owner – WAX to ensure operational excellence and drive technical improvement throughout our wax injection and assembly operations as well as outsource suppliers.  Our organization is dedicated to rapid, profitable growth through continuous capital investment, operational excellence and career development.  The ideal candidate will engage respectfully with all stakeholders, anticipate challenges, proactively bring solutions, and champion integrity. 
Profile:  This position is responsible for implementing and ensuring that all Wichita Falls WAX manufacturing processes are performed in compliance with established methods, materials and equipment specifications and that best practices are implemented.  This role is also responsible to lead improvement and technology development projects to advance the quality and costs of the process.
Essentials functions:  The Wichita Falls Process Owner – WAX position includes both strategic vision and tactical management and execution; examples include but are not limited to:
  • Drives Wax Process Management, an supporting WF WAX Manual and WAX ASAT using the scientific method, six sigma, and productivity tools to achieve business performance goals.
  • Ensures data-driven development and implementation of new materials, processes and equipment.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement activities across WF and supplier locations, including audits as needed.
  • Maintains standards, specifications and other documents for all aspects of the assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Acts as a conduit between the AEN Research Center or suppliers to ensure that technology and material needs are communicated, and new technology/material is rapidly tested, qualified and implemented.
  • Leads or supports process improvement and training activities for injection and other wax processes.
  • Coaches/mentors team members, peers and others to grow talent within W.F.
  • Monitors outside technology to identify and evaluate improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates and coaches safety and Arconic values.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must possess exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to conceptualize equipment and product configurations.
  • Must be a self-starter, manage time effectively and meet deliverable deadlines.
  • Must be a leader that positively represents AEN WF and influences internal personnel to represent our company in a professional and business-like manner.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to create trustworthy relationships and energize teams.




Basic Qualifications:
•       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
•       3 years minimum experience in injection molding.
•       3 years minimum experience with investment casting wax materials, pattern molding, and assembly.
•       Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
•       This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), which requires U. S. person status.  ITAR defines a U. S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:              
•       Advanced degree in Plastics, Chemical, Material, or Mechanical Engineering.
•       5 years experience in plastics injection molding or the precision investment casting industry.
•       Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt
•       Tool-making or tool design experience, especially for molding
•       Assembly and automation experience
•       Demonstrated ability to create and deliver adult training in technical topics.
  • Ability to travel internationally 25-50% of the time.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
