This role is based at our Midway, GA facility, which is part of Arconic Engines (AEN), a business unit of Arconic. Responsibilities for this position will include sectioning rings to the drawing specifications while maintaining traceability of individual testing blanks and pieces.  Packaging and preparing blanks for shipment to test house as specified by Purchase order and archiving testing remnants per customer requirement.  Ensuring daily metrics are achieved and critical dates per the master production schedule are met. The incumbent will also ensure testing data (certs) is accurately entered daily in TROPOS and Autoform and any non-conformances are documented. This position actively partners with the Outside Process Coordinators, QA, technical and shipping departments to communicate cutting and sectioning status.
Essential Functions:

  • Reviews and accurately enters testing data (certs) in TROPOS and Autoform
  • Creates non-conformances for any testing failures and communicate any retests needed
  • Prepares/Cuts test rings and forgings for sectioning
  • Prepares test ring and forging blanks for shipment to test
  • Maintains traceability of test blanks and forging sections for accurate test tracking
  • Progresses WIP and tracks parts through all stages within testing department
  • Updates testing spreadsheets
  • Test remnant control (catalog and retrieval)
  • Layout work from blueprints, work orders, and other specifications.
  • Set up jobs on a variety of parts and maintain specified overall tolerances.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work various shifts that support a 24/7 operation
  • Must be able to learn and follow company procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Work Location/Environmental Requirements:
Nickel and titanium manufacturing facility. Exposure to: moving mechanical parts; wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold, extreme heat, vibration; loud noise level


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of waterjet operation
  • Strong data entry experience with an emphasis in testing data (temperatures, numerical values, alpha/numerical serial numbers, etc.)
  • Basic computer knowledge. Proficiency with Tropos, QPulse and Microsoft Office
  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
