Job Description

Arconic Engineered Structures (AES) is seeking a VP, Finance for overall leadership for the management of all financial aspects of AES. This includes strategic analysis, financial planning, budgeting / forecasting and all other collateral financial requirements necessary to operate the global business. The VP, Finance will serve as a key business partner and report to the Business Unit President. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies and financial practices that drive business profitability and act as the financial and operations business partner to the Business Unit President.

Profile: The VP, Finance AES will develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the factors impacting financial performance, supervise over general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls, information technology, and have final responsibility for providing effective financial controls for the organization. The position will also be key to strategic analysis and valuation of acquisition, merge/joint venture, divestitures opportunities and corporate activites and initiatives as required.
 
Essential Functions: The VP, Finance, AES position includes both creation of strategic vision, and tactical management including execution, examples include but are not limited to:
  • Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
  • Development of the Annual and Strategic Planning processes which include coordination of inputs as well as consolidation into the Annual Business Plan.
  • Completion of quarter forecasts, profit and COGS analysis, cost management, inventory control, capital investment, working capital, and all financial reporting requirements.
  • Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures, and analyzes and reports variances.   
  • Develop appropriate accounting, analysis and reporting formats, procedures/policies and schedules to support the reporting and analysis process.
  • Prepare and present narratives, graphs, and other reports as required to support business reviews, management and customer presentations.
  • Support and facilitate the introduction, analysis and execution of cost saving opportunities.
  • Serve as key liaison to coordinate financial business processes across AFE.
  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies/procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Sarbannes Oxley and all other applicable laws.
  • Develop strategy for Trade Compliance and ensure compliance with all applicable laws in all countries.
  • Develop and deploy strategy for Cash/ Risk Management as well as Budgeting.
  • Develop and deploy effective strategy for the Information Systems function while leading the IT team to deliver world class service to a global organization.
  • Leadership: Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross foundation teamwork and customer service. Ensure optimal deployment of resources to achieve project and business goals.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the finance function
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • International experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or CPA preferred.
