Arconic's Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence is seeking a University Relations Recruiter in Pittsburgh, PA. Reporting to the Manager of University Relations, the University Relations Recruiter will be accountable for building and managing relationships with key universities, and administering the day-to-day aspects of the university recruiting process for the U.S. Key roles and responsibilities include:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key national and campus diversity organizations and universities
  • Act as the process expert with regards to campus recruiting sources (web based, career fairs, on-campus recruiting, etc),
  • Plan and attend campus career fairs, information sessions, on campus and on site interviews, and speaking engagements
  • Implement sourcing strategies to identify talented candidates, paying particular attention to diversity initiatives.
  • Ensure successful utilization of campus recruitment system at career events.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal customers at all levels.
  • Partner with business units (BU) and resource units (RU) to develop specific recruiting strategies and source candidates for interns and entry level hires
  • Partner with alumni teams and hiring managers to execute on campus events
  • Review student applications, and conduct phone screens and in-person interviews. Screen and refer candidates for additional interviews. Provide timely follow up and correspondence.
  • Ensure recruitment process is compliant with state and federal and employment laws. Works with HR teams to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Creation, review and reporting of recruiting metrics and their effectiveness
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Ideal key competencies include: strong business acumen, ability to develop and sustain relationships with business based partners, ability drive results and change, strong understanding of metrics and how to drive performance thru metrics, strong communication skills both written and verbal, adaptability, problem solving, learning agility and the ability deal with ambiguity

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a corporate or university recruiting environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior recruiting experience with a focus on responsibilities for supporting college/university recruiting at both the undergraduate and graduate level
  • Advanced level skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail; process oriented
  • Ability to work independently in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task, demonstrated capability to execute in the unique campus recruitment space
  • Flexibility to react quickly to changing business requirements and client needs
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Desire to build knowledge and thorough understanding of business areas
  • Previous experience with campus recruitment software a plus
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
