Arconic is seeking  for a Tube Mill Supervisor -3rd shift  to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX)  business unit in Lafayette, IN.

The 3rd shift Tube Mill Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient direction of the bargaining unit work force to produce drawn tube products at the lowest possible cost while being consistent with delivery and quality requirements. selecting of the optimum production equipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The 3rd shift Tube Mill Supervisor, along with assistance from the 3rdd Shift Supervisor will be responsible, but not limited to the following:
  • Schedule equipment and personnel in the “drawbench: area
  • Supervise the training of bargaining unit personnel
  • Initiates corrective action on procedures and practices
  • Coordinate material flow personnel
  • Determine proper tooling for jobs 
Please note:  This position will be on a 3rd shift schedule of 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday and will be expected to be available for overtime, as needed.




Basic Qualifications:
  • High School or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1-year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with production processes to create metal tubing, aluminum tubing experience highly preferred.
  • Experienced in the use of quality techniques and adherence to quality requirements.
  • Experience with Accounting and Production Control procedures
  • Experience working in a union environment with strong labor relations skills for supervision, development, and management of subordinates
