Global Treasury atArconic is built on the approach of having regional centres of expertise. Themain Treasury centres are in North America and in Europe. Additionally, Arconichas Treasury hubs in Brazil and in China. European Treasury provides financingand cash management services in multiple currencies to 100 legal entitiesconsisting of 60 locations in EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) and inAustralia area.

How your typical day would go:

  • Bank account management:
  • Manage intercompany loans / deposits draw-downs (including Money Market deals / Zero balanced deals and coordination at netting cycles). 
  • Deal FX deals with banks for daily cash pool balances according to FX guidelines.
  • Trade Finance activities, including follow-up related to the SCF program, bank guarantees, and other instruments as required.
  • Maintain the procedures and perform the ASAT processing and testing.
  • Participate in implementation of new software and their upgrade.
  • Have initiatives to redesign processes and tools to improve efficiency as well as participate in Treasury system changes or upgrades.
  • Expertise assistance (investigations) to locations and shared services.
  • Perform management reporting.
  • Coordinate Settlement process with the Treasury BackOffice
The main challenges are:
  • To ensure that Arconic locations operate as per the current Treasury guidelines.
  • To manage the bank accounts by monitoring the activity, analysing the cost and updating the bank details as well as keeping up-to-date the bank accounts databases.
  • To manage the intercompany relationships and develop a strong knowledge of the financing structure (all existing relationships).
  • Interact closely with the other members of the team.
  • Manage the Intercompany agreements and acquire the knowledge of the financing structure (all existing relationships) ensuring European locations operate as per the current guidelines in terms of inter-company financing and bank relationships.
  • Communicate to the locations the intercompany financing cost.
  • Manage the local liquidity requirements.

Organization and communication skills are vital inthis area. The incumbent must be capable of ensuring a proper follow-up of openissues and of dealing with tight deadlines in some cases as well as to showrigor and strictness.

We will like you if you have:
  • Finance or accounting degree certification.
  • Experience and knowledge of Treasury management activities
  • Practical knowledge of treasury systems (Quantum would be a plus)
  • Knowledge of banking documentation, KYC process.
  • Skills in organizing the tasks, tracking, analysing, storing and presenting information
  • Good communication skills to communicate with both internal and external customers (banks)
  • Able to work under pressure and with some autonomy and set priorities
  • Being able to have initiatives
  • Strong Team spirit
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good knowledge of Excel (functions, formulas)
  • English plus another European languages
