Arconic Engines is currently seeking a hands-on professional to join our Trade Compliance team. This is a critical position with exposure to many different areas of our business.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Maintains on-going communication with sites to assist with license requirement planning and to address daily operations or questions
  • Prepares, coordinates approvals, and submits license applications, amendments, TAAs and MLAs and supporting documents to the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Commerce, or U.S. Treasury Department using U.S. Government automated systems (e.g., D-Trade, SNAP-R) or other authorized methods
  • Maintains export licensing databases within the ERP systems relating to classification of commodities, software and technologies; licenses; license expiration dates; and other required reporting functions
  • Uses an automated watch list, validating that foreign persons and companies are authorized to engage in export activities and informing management of any limitations that may impact proposed business activities.
  • Reviews and authorizes foreign visits to facilities and access to computer systems; assists in developing compliance plans for visitor control and monitors compliance
  • Maintains documentation and record keeping systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in developing policies and procedures pertaining to the use of license exemptions or exceptions.
  • Assists in developing and delivering export licensing training.
  • Monitors export and import activities to identify areas where additional training or management attention may be required.

  • In conjunction with Trade Compliance Team, conduct training and audits, to ensure import/export compliance policies and procedures are followed throughout AFSR
  • Assist with day to day trade compliance activities such as Import Security Filing (ISF), Denied Party Screening (DPS), Free Trade Agreement (FTA) coordination, development of metrics requirements.
  • Work closely with all other support functions within AFSR, including Shipping, Sales, Finance and Procurement.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Export Compliance experience.
  • Experience with Corporate Export Compliance programs and systems.
  • Experience with Commerce Department EAR Export Licensing.
  • Experience with Denied Party Screening.
  • ECCN classification proficiency.
  • Experience with Internal reviews and audits.
  • Familiarity with Customs regulations and Transportation is a plus.
  • Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
