Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Toolmaker II (Entry Level) - 2nd Shift at our Sylmar, CA location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Works under direct supervision and the manufacturing Supervisor and/or Tool Room Lead
  • Will assist on polishing dies, make tooling for different departments
  • Will assist in supporting production and engineering to manage and guarantee on time availability of tools to ensure continuous production and increase of ODT (on time delivery)
  • Work with the Tool Room Lead and/or Dept Supervisor on troubleshooting basic to general tooling issues
  • Will Interprets planning, blue prints, shop drawings, etc.
  • Performs all work within established standards of production
  • Will be responsible for ensuring completeness and quality standards are met
  • Will assist with providing all standard operator tools
Key Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as scheduled


Basic Qualifications:
  • Highschool diploma or GED required
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6  months – 3 years of manufacturing machine shop experience preferred
  • Previous tool maker experience a plus
