This position needs to prioritize organize and delegate assignments to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages the Tool Hold Program and Hot Board by preparing reports, creating spreadsheets, finding jobs using Syteline and at the work stations on the shop floor.
  • Follows up on priority tooling and keep HOT jobs moving
  • Creates new work orders, corrects and inputs new routers and issues materials for tooling work orders
  • Releases work orders and moves to 1st operation
  • File all firmed work orders numerically by work center in the crib
  • Responsible for ordering materials and blanks (Carbide and Steel)
  • Receives materials into inventory and When material/blanks are received etch/mark the items number onto blanks to identify and stock into tool crib
  • Issue material to work orders pending on material/blanks
  • Order tool crib supplies through Oracle and through Plant 1 Crib
  • Deliver hot tooling to departments/managers
  • Locate priority tooling in heat treat or inspection departments
  • Performs laser etching on perishable tooling.
  • Acts as “Glove SPA” and issues gloves to all employees and keeps inventory of gloves
  • Contacts Acuña about daily priority work orders (email delivery dates)
  • Print and release work orders for Acuña


Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and 5 years experience as a machinist.
Must have experience reading blue prints and knowledge of precision measuring devices.
