This first shift position is located in our Plant 5, Whitehall Ti-Cast Operation.  This position will lead efforts focused on providing our engineering and manufacturing team with the technical support, from our tool room and CNC departments, necessary to drive improvements in through-put and delivery while working to reduce operating costs and inventory levels.  This position will provide leadership to a team of CNC technician and tool makers.  Will also be responsible for insuring all tool room responsibilities are completed accurately and timely to support cost-out, input, flow, and delivery performance of our castings. 


Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience, or four years of Arconic experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Programming NX, Mazak, and Wonderware.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal skills / competencies.  Includes being able to communicate effectively both in writing as well as orally.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role.
  • Able to identify problematic situations and determine correct actions to take in order to solve / correct.
  • Possess leadership skills that will create a positive engaging environment.
  • Able to collaborate on projects by building working relationships, demonstrating responsibility for group projects and utilizing other resource strengths and talents.
  • Able to set clear expectations and articulate those to the team.
  • Will be required to develop, coordinate and/or direct projects making detailed plans to accomplish short and long term goals.
  • Able to effectively present information including but not limited to responding to questions from customers, plant and/or BU leadership, and the respective employees.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to cross functional resources including resources working in the manufacturing /automation areas.
