The Technical Writer creates and maintains clear, concise, accurate documentation for technical literature directed towards technical and non-technical users. 
  • Key member of new product development team.
  • Must be able to comprehend information intended for a technical audience, rewrite and organize it in a manner appropriate for a non-technical audience
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Must perform technical writing based on required standards and guidelines
  • Must be able to multi-task and handle several projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to details is critical
  • Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
  • Will work with different teams/team members to gather necessary content for documentation
Product Engineering, Technical Literature, Product Management, and Product
Configuration Management


Basic qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.   
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the development and production of technical manuals / electronic technical manuals.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  • Experience with technical documentation authoring/publishing tools (e.g. Palego / Madcap Flare / Adobe InDesign & Framemaker).
  • Working knowledge of 2D/3D modeling and PLM systems; AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault proficiency preferred.
  • Experience utilizing component content management system, data management and configuration control applications.
  • Experience with CSS, SGML, HTML5, XML and linked PDF, including embedded graphics.
  • Understanding of DITA/DOCBOOKS architecture.
