Job Description

Primary purpose the role:

  • To provide technical input and solutions to project enquiries from Architects, Main Contractors, Dealers and Sales Team.
  • Responsible for the support of new products and modification of existing products for the UK market to suit both Project and Systemised solutions.
  • Responsible for providing Technical product support to internal and external customers
  • Maintain KawneerPro helpdesk, test new products into the software and deliver training courses to both internal staff and external customers.

Key responsibilities include: 

Technical Support

  • To determine project specific windloads and thermal calculations and other complex calculations as required.
  • Attend project meetings to support dealership and strategic partners
  • Provide product information and capability guidance of all products and hardware to include advice on windloads and deadloads.
  • Provide a Technical / Software telephone helpdesk service to the dealership.

  • Attendance at site meetings

  • Technical Support in areas of site monitoring, site problem investigation

  • Compilation of site visit reports

  • Assist with project specific testing and test samples

  • Provide Technical and Professional advice to Sales Team and other internal and externsl customers

  • Deliver training presentations

KawneerPro Support 

  • Assist in the testing of new database releases
  • Creation of training materials such as manuals, single point lessons
  • KawneerPro updates internally and externally
  • Creation and upkeep of user guides

CAD Support

  • To provide project specific detail drawings, pre order
  • To provide die drawings and associated paperwork for project specific work - post order


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Product Knowledge of Kawneer Products and their application.
  • LogiKal or KawneerPro experience
  • Practical expereince (e.g. sites, testing and dealer visits)
  • Design methods and AutoCAD skills
  • Experience of Extrusion/die design, structural adhesives, testing of facades, tooling, fabrication and assembly, site installation, acoustics, thermal performance
  • Degree/HNC in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Design)
