This position is responsible to act as a focal point, in support of the Account Manager, for all commercial activities (business-wide) and assist in cultivating a positive business relationship between assigned customers and the Company.
Essential responsibilities include:
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of customer products, markets, organization, priorities, issues and opportunities.
  • Maintain understanding of plant products, technical capabilities, organization, priorities, issues and opportunities. Identify and prioritize important business growth opportunities.
  • Cultivate positive working customer/plant relationships.
  • Support key customer management processes, including: - Customer Scorecard analysis, correlation and communication - Forecast (builds, spares) updates, firm and anticipated - Quality metrics and returns - Delivery metrics and recovery plans - Critical action items - Alloy element surcharge and indices calculations - Accounts receivable/customer credit issues - Customer account plans Maintain ownership and management of RFQ and quotation process to meet customer expectations.
  • Develop mechanism for regular market/competitive intelligence updates.
  • Coordinate new program/transfer qualification activity.
  • Financial analysis, including cost and pricing, Long Term Agreement support, profit & loss and discounts.
  • Customer service responsibility, including being available and responsive to external and internal customers for frequent communications.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years experience in customer service/technical sales in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder')
    Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be influential at selling technical capabilities directly within customer environment.
  • Solid interpersonal skills which promote customer loyalty and cooperation.
  • Must be able to conceptualize product configurations.
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications; experience with MS Project strongly preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter, manage time effectively and meet deliverable deadlines.
  • Must be a leader that positively represents Arconic to the customer and influences internal personnel to represent our company in a professional and business-like manner.
  • Investment casting experience desired; Six Sigma experience is a preferred skill.
  • Ability to effectively present information in all sizes of group situations to customers and employees of the organization.
