Job Description

Primary Purpose of the role:

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining customer facing documentation to support the development of new products and existing products within the New Product Development Group.

Key activities/responsibilities include:

  •  Create technical documentation intended for printed or website use
  • Produce support documentation utilizing CAD and publishing software. Documentation includes all aspects of customer facing details such as Design/Estimating and Fabrication/Installation instructions.
  • Hands-on lab activities related to the fabrication, assembly installation and testing of products
  • Generate and conduct peer reviews of engineering changes
  • other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

  • Degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering CAD Technology or Engineering Technology
  • Good understanding of engineering drawing layout
  • Knowledge of Technical writing, illustration and Document Control systems
  • Working knowledge of 2D/3D modelling and PLM systems, AutoCAD, Inventor and Team Centre/Vault proficiency is preferred
  • Desired knowledge of CCMS/XML based publishing software such as Paligo, Madcap, Flare or Schema as well as Adobe Creative suites
