Job Description

Arconic is currently in search of a Systems Analyst to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) HQ business unit in Alcoa, TN.
The Systems Analyst will support GRP’s business strategy and the North America locations by providing in-depth business process knowledge using SAP and Microsoft BI Suite technologies in specific business areas. This is an internal consulting role that works with business process owners to understand and support current business processes while identifying opportunities for improvements that enable added business value in a cost-effective manner. This role supports critical smart manufacturing initiatives that will drive continuous improvement and business value.
  • Analyze, enhance and supports business processes
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes in their area(s) of assignment, and a general understanding of the GRP business.
  • Take initiative to identify and implement system and/or process improvements to support business objectives.
  • Effectively utilizes project methodology and tools to deliver solutions and communicate status.
  • Operate within and influence IS standards and conventions and promotes adherence within the IS organization.
  • Pursue continuous learning consistent with changes in technology, and uses this to influence IS direction.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science from an accredited institution
  • Systems analysis and design skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office toolset – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • SQL skills
  • Technical proficiency in any of the following areas is desired: SAP Applications, SAP ABAP Programming, SAP Business Objects, Procedural Programming, Visual Basic, SharePoint Foundation, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Performance Point.
  • Functional knowledge of shop floor, inventory, and quality.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with cross functional teams, presenting solutions both verbally and through written communications.
  • Technical understanding of application development life cycle phases
