Arconic is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist position to join our Procurement Resource Group in Pittsburgh, PA.

The primary purpose of the Supply Chain Specialist is to support the global metal procurement team with supply chain management, execution, and relevant analysis.  This role will work with the location supply chain leads, metal sourcing, risk management, finance organizations and third-party suppliers to establish and maintain a balanced metal position for the company.
Major activities/Key challenges:
  • This role will be the key liaison between the metal sourcing group, transportation, locations, and internal procure to pay team coordinating supply and demand fulfillment to multiple production facilities primarily across North America
  • Manage metal supply chain in conjunction with location supply chain leads and category managers
  • Provide expert assistance to the Logistics team to optimize freight costs and ensure lowest total delivered cost
  • Manage weekly consigned inventory consumption and reporting following process from consumption to invoice
  • Drive development of new tools globally and ensure deployment of standard work practices
  • Assist and develop key analytics and KPIs
  • Participate in cross functional work groups to ensure close collaboration with S&OP, supply chain teams, and metal procurement
  • Ability to travel 0-25% of the time primarily to Arconic manufacturing locations


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in business
  • Previous experience in a supply chain function or other direct supporting role within a major manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of end-to-end procurement process to include sourcing, purchase order management, and payment systems
  • Experience working with or managing direct/raw material consumption, conversion, or processing
  • Strong analytical skills, supply chain & financial knowledge
  • Ability to work with multinational and diverse teams within Arconic
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicable computer programs and systems (i.e. Oracle/SAP)
