Primary Purpose of Job
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for maintaining strong organizational effectiveness, defined processes, data integrity, and effective information systems. The incumbent will establish world-class supply chain processes, along with the metrics necessary to track supply chain effectiveness, efficiency, and opportunities. They will develop a strategic sourcing process to leverage capacity and improve reaction time to market disruptions. The position will ensure that the Division and all locations of the Division are in full compliance with the import and export laws of the countries where they do business in a manner that is consistent with Arconic’s values. Direct reports include (1) Demand Manager, (1) Shipping Lead, and (1) Planning Lead. The incumbent communicates continually with other Supply Chain personnel, as well as with Operations Department management and supervisors. Externally, they communicate with customers and suppliers.
Accountability Objectives
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing personnel in the areas of production, controls, and logistics.
  • Developing and executing a vision that delivers operational excellence, resulting in world class customer service and efficiency.
  • Adding S&OP processes and integrating the separate existing forecasting, ordering management, production planning, warehouse, and transportation processes and associates for Cleveland Operations Aerospace business into a single supply chain.
  • Sustaining a Sales and Operations planning process that allows the location to achieve financial goals, customer expectations, and inventory plans.
  • Defining, designing, and implementing supply chain tools necessary to support a world-class supply chain organization.
  • Building a world-class supply chain organization through the establishment of comprehensive succession planning efforts by identifying, coaching, and mentoring talent.
  • Performing strategic sourcing and capacity versus requirement studies to ensure the efficient and effective deployment and utilization of resources to meet demand, inventory requirements, and delivery expectations.
  • Tracking and communicating progress to establish short-term and long-term objectives for the supply chain organization, which will enable the division to meet or exceed its business objectives through world-class customer service and efficiency.
  • Leading the Supply Chain & Logistic Department in maintaining the integrity of Cleveland Operations ERP systems. This includes ensuring that processes are in place for timely review and quick resolutions of problems as they arise.
  • Establishing continuous improvement processes and culture to ensure that the Supply Chain & Logistics Department maintains world-class status. This includes continually analyzing processes and procedures to identify opportunities to eliminate waste, streamline for efficiency, and utilize emerging tools and techniques.  
  • Maintaining supply chain tools for customer sponsored rating programs. Leading the Supply Chain & Logistics Department to create and maintain tools that allow Cleveland Operations to score at the highest level possible on customer audits and scorecards.  
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications
For this position to be successful, the incumbent should have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role that shows progressive accountability within a manufacturing environment.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
