Their skills are sharpened as full members of a project team, working alongside leaders in partnership with business unit clients. Interns are assigned projects based on their business unit specifications which will vary depending on location. Some of the highlights as a member of the team are business insights sessions with the Senior Leadership team across the organization, professional development opportunities, and plant tours, and social activities with other interns and colleagues. With over 50 locations across the US, there are opportunities to work in a variety places around the country. MBA Interns work with senior management and business leaders across the company. Primary assignments for MBA interns typically include: • Corporate Development- Supporting the development of business cases and evaluation of potential transactions, performing comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research, coordinating with various resource units and business leaders in support of transactions, and potentially performing onsite due diligence and visiting manufacturing locations • Management Consulting and Strategy (MCS)- Developing new perspectives and hypotheses on important business issues for Alcoa businesses, conducting financial modeling and data mining, and synthesizing business insights derived from analysis into clear concise actions and recommendations Internships typically run from May/June through August. We look for interns with: • Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for Business • A strong record of team, project and/or people leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities • The ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment • Willingness to take initiative to understand the business • An aptitude for problem solving; strong writing and verbal communication skills • Previous successful experience as an active member of a team • A strong commitment to excellence and to personal and professional growth • Must be resourceful, responsible, tenacious, curious, independent, confident and high energy For more information, and to apply for specific internship roles, visit Basic Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in an accredited MBA program • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or other relevant field • 2 - 3 years previous experience • Experience in investment banking, M&A transactions, corporate development or management consulting is preferred

Basic Qualifications

  • MBA candidate
  • Interest in strategy and ideally aerospace and/or manufacturing
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, capable of efficiently conducting complex analyses including cash flow valuations for potential capital allocation and portfolio analyses (expertise in MS excel required)
  • Strategic thinker who enjoys complex problem solving
  • Experience developing meaningful market intelligence based on multiple, publicly available sources (expertise in MS PPT required)
  • Strong verbal, written, and illustrative communication skills to be able to convey analysis to senior leadership
  • Ability to work independently and manage time within a fast paced environment requiring deliverables with short lead times
