Job Description

Arconic Cleveland Works, a forgings facility located at 1600 Harvard Ave., is seeking an experienced Staff Electrical Engineer. The Staff Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, and commissioning new and revised equipment, as well as electrical engineering troubleshooting and process improvement support. The Staff Electrical Engineer reports directly to an Engineering Lead.

The incumbent will be accountable for:
  • Implementing capital projects, including project scope, schedules, and execution.
  • Providing direction and leadership for all technical issues within the Large Aerospace Department.
  • Planning and coordinating technical design and engineering project work.
  • Identifying technologies to be used for new applications and extension of current infrastructure.
  • Working closely with the maintenance team and acting as mentor/coach to Technicians.
  • Solving complex technical process problems.
  • Developing, recommending, and implementing migration paths for obsolete controls and components.
  • Networking with other Arconic locations to determine best practices for equipment and processes. #


•Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Allen Bradley PLC, Control Logix PLC, and HMI packages.
•This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

•Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous experience with combustion or furnace operations
•Experience with capital projects
•15 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.
