Job Description

This is an experienced position in the Information Technology organization of Arconic.  The principal challenge of the Sr. Project Leader - Compliance Coordinator is to facilitate in the administration and management of the Arconic Process Control compliance efforts.  This role will lead in the development, deployment and implementation of the PSAT compliance process and to understand and direct others in completing and maintaining Arconic’s standards, procedures and technologies surrounding the audit of the process control environments.  The incumbent will act as an internal consultant to Arconic’s businesses and various customer groups.
 
Major Activities:
  • Work alone or as part of a team to develop, implement, evaluate, and/or support the compliance surrounding the process control environments. 
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer interaction in order to develop this newly created function which is meant to serve as an enabler for succession planning and sustainability adherence.
  • Manage the reactionary support and/or preventive maintenance process for the systems or technologies in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provide advice and counsel to the “customers” of the systems or technologies in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business processes or technologies in area(s) of assignment; participate in, and perform the analysis of the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure the project management process is followed in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Operate within Arconic IS standards and conventions and applicable Arconic Business Unit/Resource Unit IT standards.
  • Identify, establish and support value-added cross-functional data and system linkages.
  • Ensure appropriate methodologies are followed, support processes and procedures are in place, and key system/quality indicators are measured, where appropriate.
  • Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in job requirements, changes in technology, changes in the organization, and changes in the company (i.e., Business Units and Resource Units).
  • Lead the discovery, planning and implementation of process improvements in individual tasks and in the work team.
 
Major Customers:
  • Business Unit and Resource Unit customers.
  • Plant and Business Unit IS customers.
  • Suppliers of products and services.
  • Work team, peers, manager and other relevant personnel (primarily engineers) in the BU/RU organization.
 
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer or information science, business, math, or related subject and a significant level of practical experience.
  • The incumbent must have strong human relation skills and be able to interact with and indirectly manage internal and external customers, vendors, other IS professionals and Arconic management.
  • The incumbent must have strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to execute.
  • The incumbent must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The incumbent must be able to provide work direction to larger teams and manage large projects.
 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in information technology
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have project management experience in leading projects, and demonstrate a solid understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Must be able to provide work direction to individuals who are not directly reporting to them.
  • Must be familiar with Arconic’s infrastructure support processes.
  • Must have a strong familiarity with Arconic’s business environment.
