Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking an Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for our aerospace fastener plant in City of Industry, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing equipment and controls; contacts vendors when necessary regarding new equipment and technology, using knowledge of materials, equipment and operations; reviews and implements materials and processing customer specifications while assuring that specifications reflect attainable cost effective requirements; gathers all relevant data in the manufacturing processes; uses the data in the support of designed experiments, failure analysis and problem solving activity and as a basis for analysis in corrective actions and process improvements; prepares project capitalization funding requests; manages assigned projects—including vendors and subcontractors—from concept through implementation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a metalworking fabrication and/or machine shop environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
