Job Description

Global Rolled Products (GRP) is a dynamic global organization that offers the widest variety of aluminum plate and sheet in the world. GRP is made up of Arconic's rolling operations around the world and is Arconic's most global group with manufacturing and commercial sites in North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and Russia.

This position is within GRP which produces flat rolled aluminum sheet and plate products that are used in the construction of commercial airplanes and automotive markets. Some customers include Aerospace companies like Boeing and Airbus, as well as Automotive manufacturers like Ford, GM, and Chrysler.

The Sr. Customer Sales & Service Representative (CSSR) is responsible for providing direct customer service to their assigned customers to facilitate the overall business objectives. The CSSR will be a part of a team spanning several Arconic locations.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage day-to-day account activities and to act as the liaison between the business and its customers;
  • Be accountable for delivering value-added services resulting in the highest level of customer satisfaction, thereby creating sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace;
  • Be able to act independently with initiative within assigned areas of responsibility while managing multiple customers, customer locations, and plant locations;
  • Manage the customer booking process and servicing the assigned account on a day-to-day basis, including, but not limited to metal buying, bookings, nonstandard order entry, scheduling, pricing, status checks, expediting, releases, shipment, claim resolution, and resolving of related problems involving the plant, marketing, and credit;
  • Establish and/or enhance effective relationships with customer contacts;
  • Create quality documents and translate customer requirements and specifications;
  • Prepare written quotations using inside selling techniques to quote pricing;
  • Involved, in cooperation with, Outside Sales, in developing new business opportunities;
  • Work closely with support staff providing guidance regarding the customer order cycle process.

Major Activities and Key Challenges Include:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word);
  • Possess strong attention to detail;
  • Possess the ability to engage with employee at all levels of the organization;
  • Possess the knowledge to identify and help resolve process-related problems;
  • Able to work in high paced work environment;
  • Possess Strong skills managing external relationship with customers.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and /or customer service;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Accounting or Business from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience analyzing data from multiple sources;
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish fluently in conversation.
