This opening is in our Kawneer Cranberry business which is in Cranberry Twp., PA. We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The Shipping Supervisor will be required to manage all aspects of our windows shipping department including safety, quality, compliance (DOT and Arconic), employee engagement, labor planning and cost, and plant profitability to the company's set expectations. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Verifying all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures for the department are followed by all employees.
  • Coordinating with the front end and operations teams to select modes of transportation that both meet customer needs and minimize cost.
  • Preparing daily reports and Bills of Lading so accurate inventory and shipping records may be maintained and verification of all shipments are appropriately authorized and supported by properly completed shipping documents.
  • Providing accurate documentation of all transactions of all involving input/ output of finished goods from production staging to shipping destination, and coordinating with the Finance team to ensure revenue is being recognized in accordance with Arconic company policy.
  • Motivating, training and maintaining a workforce at sufficient size and skill to meet the seasonal delivery requirements within the budget. This includes managing both operational efficiencies and department headcount. This role will be responsible for interviewing potential employees for available hourly roles in the department.
  • Driving continuous improvement of the shipping operations and processes.


Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ order management system experience (ie. Oracle)
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
