Job Description

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for all shipping and receiving activities within the Martinsville facility. This position will also be responsible to efficiently handle fluctuating workloads while maintain operations at an efficient level while upholding Arconic’s Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures. • The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will be required to manage resources to ensure all shipments and documentation are accurate and proper records are maintained. • Responsible for all materials received which includes following established company procedures to properly document all raw materials shipped into and out of the facility. This includes utilizing SAP to document incoming and outgoing materials, following procedures to document the location of all raw materials, and physical movement and storage of all materials. • Requests quotations from vendors, places orders and stocks all equipment and supplies for the plant. • If needed, loads / unloads trucks using tow motor. • Perform periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. • Provide accurate transaction records of incoming material and outgoing shipments. • Ensure the receiving and inspection (where applicable) of all purchased materials are done in a timely manner. • Some general plant maintenance, such as coordinating trash pickups, maintaining company truck, pick up parts using company truck, etc. • Manage receipts for tooling, outside services and returned goods. • Document special or processing waste for pick-up. • Support the Arconic Self-Assessment Tool and any necessary testing requirements.


Basic Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution • Must be flexible with working hours (nights, weekends and overtime) as needed • Working experience in Microsoft Office tools • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not applicable for this position. • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires a U.S. person status. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: • Two years of experience in shipping and receiving • Experience using SAP • Previous experience driving a tow motor and using an overhead crane. • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written • Two year degree
