Arconic is currently in search of a Senior Systems Analyst for SharePoint to join our Global Information Services (GIS) Resource Unit in Pittsburgh, PA.

This position will be part of the SharePoint development and support team within the End User Productivity team of GIS.  This role is responsible for coordinating work requests and providing support for the SharePoint team site environment as well as serving the primary SPA to Corporate Communications and the businesses for Arconnect, the internal portal SharePoint environment. The role will have responsibility in coordinating, planning and executing small projects, work efforts, and operational support for SharePoint, while also providing SharePoint administrative functions.
Major Activities:
  • Act as primary support and administration SPA for Arconnect, being a part of multiple support queues and ensuring resolution within SLAs
  • Provides SharePoint training and administration efforts for the SharePoint team - conduct beginning, intermediate, and advanced training sessions on the use of SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online
  • Ensures user documentation is current and accurate to maximize end user self-service support
  • Receives guidance and direction from SharePoint leads for day-to-day activities and job responsibilities
  • Work with application and infrastructure technical leads and teams to ensure functionality is properly activated or custom code is developed and tested with customer
  • Follow vendor policies and utilize proven project and development methodologies and standardized practices to ensure continued support and viability of the application platforms and environments
  • Provides advice and counsel to customers and all levels of the organization with respect to the applications, systems, or technologies in assigned area of responsibility
  • Leads small to medium work requests and projects or participates in larger scale projects following the Project Management Methodology or the Applications Development Framework, which includes project schedule planning and tracking, budgeting, resource management, communications, and customer relations
  • Maintains current knowledge of application functionality and identifies opportunities and evaluate and implement new functionalities where appropriate to increase business value
  • Leads the discovery, planning and implementation of process improvements in individual areas of responsibilities or cross functional process improvements
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of the business purpose and processes in area of responsibility and participates in the analysis of the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship across the organization, with leadership, customers, and suppliers
  • Serve as the compliance lead for areas of responsibility - ensuring that existing processes and procedures are followed and implementing new governance processes where required
  • Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in job requirements, changes in technology, and changes in the organization
 Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education:
  • Existing skills and experience in SharePoint are preferred to help the candidate be successful in this role, knowledge and experience can include:
    • understanding vendor vision and direction and staying current on trends and industry best practices
    • identifying opportunities and evaluate functionality to increase business value
    • knowledge of the functionality of SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016 or SharePoint Online
    • knowledge of the creation and customization of web parts using out-of-the-box standard functionality  
    • general understanding of SharePoint workflows and InfoPath forms
    • knowledge of Flow and/or power apps
  • A solid understanding of systems analysis, design, and programming techniques
  • Strong human relation skills, and able to interact with internal and external customers, other analysts, and management
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Business Unit and Resource Unit customers
  • Plant and Business Unit IS customers
  • Suppliers of products and services.
  • Work team, peers, manager and other relevant personnel in the GIS organization


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
