Arconic Engineered Structures (AES) is seeking a Senior Staff Program Manager. 
The Senior Staff Program Manager will report to the VP, Defense Sales & Programs. The primary responsibility of the Senior Staff Program Manager is the alignment, development and coordination of the program management team, including the execution of the MMIS Program portfolio of projects in support of customer requirements and AES Metrics. Essential Functions:
The Senior Staff Program Manager position within AES includes both creation of strategic vision and tactical management and execution, examples include but are not limited to:
  • Provides overall direction and management of the program team
  • Assigns program team resources to meet internal and external customer needs
  • Defines expectations, chairs and provides governance to the program team throughout the program life cycle (Proposal, Planning, Execution and Closure) including the standardization of tools, completion level of efforts, application of proven techniques and internal and external expectations for communications.
  • Manages the development of comprehensive Customer and Program strategies, confirms alignment with Commercial Strategy, for MMIS customers and products.
  • Oversees and leads the MMIS program team in their support of product realization including but not limited to:
  • The preparation and submission of proposals
  • The review, communication and tracking of customer requirements/flow downs
  • The development, communication and tracking of detailed and actionable project schedules
  • The development and upkeep of customer orders and forecasts for financial and operational alignment
  • The development of project budgets and the analysis and reporting of estimate to actual
  • The management and collection of configuration and/or scope changes and their costs
  • The development of comprehensive project risk analyses and execution of mitigation effort
  • Develops expectations and monitors the effectiveness of two-way communication between the program team and other plant disciplines
  • Reviews initial and if necessary improvement plans and provides support toward goal achievement
  • Coordinates and supports program status reporting to plant leadership, customers and corporate commercial as required
  • Supports and promotes incremental business development
  • Develops, monitors, sustains, and manages program KPIs and program dashboard to ensure conformance with program cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Communicates weekly, monthly, and as-needed status reports to plant, corporate commercial and operational leadership
  • Develop detailed project plans.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university;
  • Minimum 5 years of project management and/or program management experience;
  • Minimum 8 years of management experience;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing experience a significant plus
  • USG contract experience is highly desired
  • Experience with diverse, large government programs with multiple simultaneous projects
  • 10+ years of project management and/or program management experience
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience preferably some in machining or manufacturing
  • Aerospace and/or defense experience
  • PMP certification
  • Outstanding mediating, negotiating, and influencing skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
