Job Description

Arconic is currently in search of a Senior Project Leader located in Davenport, IA to support our Global Rolled Products (GRP) business. Global Rolled Products (GRP) is a business unit within Arconic that focuses on the production and sale of specific rolled aluminum products in global markets.
Since it opened in 1948, Arconic’s Davenport aluminum facility has been at the forefront of American manufacturing. Nestled on the banks of the Mississippi River in Iowa, the plant employs over 2,500 people and is a focal point of the global aluminum industry, with 20 percent of revenues coming from exports
The GRP Information Solutions (IS) team supports the strategies of our business unit headquarters, sales and manufacturing locations globally. The IS organization is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, operation, and continuing support of all information technology solutions within GRP. The IS team is accountable for business applications, infrastructure, compliance and the management of the total cost of ownership for IS. We have knowledgeable people and strong partnerships with our business unit, location leaders and customers, and our external or corporate service providers.

As the Senior Project Leader, you will support the overall GRP Smart Manufacturing business strategy at multiple locations. 
In addition, you will be expected to:


• Analyze, enhance and support business processes that may span multiple computing environments and multiple GRP locations.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the current business processes in area(s) of assignment, through partnership with internal customers as well as a general understanding of the GRP business.
• Use a combination of leading-edge information technologies along with existing legacy tools to deliver creative, cost-effective solutions to meet business needs and drive standardization
• Effectively utilize project methodology and tools to deliver solutions and communicate status.
• Pursue continuous learning consistent with changes in technology, and use this to influence IS direction

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited organization.  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with software development life cycle methodologies
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, SQL Programming (SQL, T‐SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Science, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Mining or Integration
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or engineering. 
  • Manufacturing functional experience working on quality, order management, planning & scheduling, shipping or operations management information systems projects.
  • Technical or Application experience in Web Development (.NET), Microsoft SQL Server Applications, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Oracle or SAP ERP applications, Rockwell Factory Talk Application suite and OSIsoft PI applications.
