Job Description

Primary Purpose of the Job
Provide support in the Order to Cash organization, focusing on deployment and new implementations of Order Management, Shipping, Inventory, Manufacturing, Planning, eAM, and related modules of Oracle EBS to Arconic sites. Also responsible for completion of other special projects, as needed, when requested and funded by Global Information Systems (GIS) and/or the Business Units (BU).

Major activities/Key challenges
  • Work alone or as part of a team to develop, implement, evaluate, procure, and/or support computer systems and information solutions that meet the needs of the customer and add the most value to the company. This is to be accomplished by utilizing technically sound methods of investigation, analysis/ design, planning, and scheduling.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer interaction in order to identify and recommend computer and business solutions to effectively and efficiently satisfy the data processing and information requirements of the business.
  • Manage the reactionary support and/or preventive maintenance process for the systems in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provide advice and counsel to the customers of the systems in assigned area(s) of responsibility, and to other GIS personnel.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business processes in area(s) of assignment; participate in, and learn how to perform, the analysis of the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Operate within Arconic IS standards and conventions and applicable Arconic Business Unit/Resource Unit (RU) IT standards.
  • Identify, establish, and support value-added cross-functional data and system linkages.
  • Ensure appropriate methodologies are followed, support processes and procedures are in place, and key system/quality indicators are measured, where appropriate.
  • Follow established Project Management methodologies to enable success.
  • Work with Global Track Leads and BU representatives to ensure that solutions proposed and implemented are consistent with locations already deployed.
  • Manage the common configurations and requirements for the functional modules.
  • Manage the data conversions, setups, testing events, and cutover processes for the implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with all guidelines detailed in the IT ASAT (with a specific focus on business partnerships, change control, disaster recovery, and security) for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Manage an on and off-shore model that provides development and/or support solutions in the assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in job requirements, changes in technology, changes in the organization, and changes in the company (i.e., BUs and RUs).
  • In addition to individual priorities, manage multiple system services or multiple larger projects including project estimates, status communications, and schedules; monitor the plans including periodic review with those managing the day-to-day activities; manage the process established for emergency system and project support; direct the day-to-day activity for the team.
  • Lead the discovery, planning, and implementation of process improvements in individual tasks and in the work team.
  • Manage project-specific enhancement requests through the EBS Issues Process.
  • Assist with the development of the strategy for EBS solutions for Arconic.
  • Attend Weekly Track meetings, where applicable.
  • Coordinate ITG approvals for code and patch migrations.
  • Weekly PMO project updates and meeting attendance.
  • Participate in CAB, CVC, and SIG meetings.
  • Manage OTC deployment projects related to bringing additional plant locations into Oracle Supply chain processing (Order management, Manufacturing, and advanced supply chain planning).

Major Customers
  • BUs – EPS, GRP, & TCS
  • Regions – NOA, EUR, SOA, & ASIA
  • All EBS locations within the above regions, along with new deployments in the future
During EBS OTC deployments there is a possibility of 50 to 75% travel in order to be directly on-site at a location to support the deployment and manage the project. Travel would be Monday with return either Thursday evening or Friday day dependent upon the project need. Also, this may include weekend on-site as required during the production cutover / go-live.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years’ work experience in Information Systems.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship not available for this position.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Possess good interpersonal skills and be able to effectively interact with business customers and other members of GIS.
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding and practical application of systems analysis and technical skills.
    • Possess leadership ability; effective oral and written communication skills; possess organization, planning and decision-making abilities, good analytical skills, project management abilities, and be creative and a competent team builder.
    • Demonstrate understanding of and experience with support and implementation of Oracle Applications, especially within the Order Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain applications.
