Job Description

  • Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Monoshell processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials and equipment specifications as detailed in the corporate manual.
  • Approve all new and revised instructions in the monoshell area.
  • Responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from critical process specifications and provide technical support to Process Engineering to resolve monoshell and foundry related issues.
  • Responsible for reporting the critical process status on daily and monthly basis to the Corporate Monoshell Business Unit Process Owner.
  • Responsible for control and approval of all monoshell dipping routines.
  • Responsible for daily interface and communication of issues with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities personnel responsible for the monoshell and foundry areas
  • Responsible for understanding downstream product quality as it relates to monoshell and react appropriately to observed conditions.
  • Institute proper project monitoring, follow up and feedback system to insure financial and contract targets are met. (yields, rework).
  • Foster continuous improvement utilizing Process management designed experiments, IPM and SPC, Cpk
  • Demonstrates considerable ingenuity and creativity while recognizing prudent risk.
  • As a recognized expert in the monoshell process technology area, provide technical guidance to management and peers in areas of current or potential needs of the plant.
  • Routinely review process for adherence to established techniques and to ensure the repeatability of approved process.


Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma/ GED from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience working in a manufacturing facility in investment casting with an emphasis on Monoshell build and slurry manufacturing.
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Materials, Ceramic, Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in investment casting;
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years Motoman or equivalent robot programming experience
