Arconic is currently seeking an experienced and energetic HR Business Partner to join the Building and Construction Systems (BCS) team. This opening is in our Kawneer business located in Norcross, GA. We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The BCS organization employs more than 3,000 employees. The position is responsible for providing full scope HR support to selected functional groups within the 75-person Headquarters organization and support/manage key HR processes across the BCS network. This position is based in Norcross, GA and reports to the BCS Global Human Resources Director.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Responsible for full-scope HR activities for 75 employees working at the Norcross location;
  • Partner with internal customers and the Arconic recruiting team to fill salaried positions;
  • Manage internship program (est. 5-6 new interns annually);
  • Provide Business-Based HR Support for one or more customers within the BCS Headquarters organization;
  • Collaborate with other HR and Corporate resources in managing certain processes and initiatives (ex. talent management, performance-based increases);
  • Manage temporary-employee processes for the Norcross facility;
  • Support on-boarding of new HR team members as needed;
  • Assist with capturing, tracking and reporting on key metrics for BCS;
  • Lead various HR reporting activities across BCS;
  • Manage GPS/HR system security access and compliance for Norcross location;
  • Develop tools, processes and procedures working closely with our internal customers, BBHR, people shared services and the Corporate RU SPA’s to assist with completion of responsibilities;
  • Assist in incident investigations involving the Norcross location and/or other locations as needed;
  • Lead or participate in projects or initiatives across the business unit as needed;
  • Various administrative tasks to cover building vacancies as needed;
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 20%).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resource experience;
  • Experience managing year end or annual compensation for a global organization;
  • Minimum of 1 year of HR Manager-level experience;
  • Ability to relocation to another Arconic location at some point in the future.
