Our advanced aerospace facility in LaPorte, Indiana is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated the ability to achieve results in several key HR functions and has a passion to put that experience to work and have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities. We will look to you to partner with the HR Manager and leadership team in translating business strategy into HR action and hands-on business results.  HR Generalist responsibilities will require you to apply your broad knowledge of HR and hands-on expertise with demonstrated results in several of the following functions/HR Processes:
  • Develop and implement tactics to execute HR strategies that achieve the overall business strategy
  • Engage in positive employee relations building and enhancing as environment in which employees are actively and willingly engaged in helping improve the business
  • Support strategic staffing/recruitment/talent management initiatives
  • Administer performance management and compensations training and development/coaching
  • Involved with Change Management /continuous improvement/organizational effectiveness/organizational development
  • Provide effective strategic communications
  • Conduct benefits administration and education
  • Ensure compliance with EEO/AAP, FLSA, and FMLA


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 
  • Minimum of 5 years' Human Resource experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
