Arconic is seeking a Finance Director for our North American Rolling business. This position supports the Group CFO and the VP of Operations on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and all other collateral financial requirements necessary to operate the North American Rolling business. This is a highly visible position in the succession pipeline for top finance leadership positions, including VP of Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis. This position will report directly to the Group CFO, and will be located in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate across functions and help drive business initiatives with accurate financial planning, analysis and reporting. Profile: The Rolling Finance Director, Americas primary objective is to coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain control procedures, analyze and report variances to drive business profitability. The incumbent will develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the factors impacting financial performance, supervise over general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls, and have final responsibility for providing effective financial controls for the organization. The position will participate in valuation of acquisition, merger/joint venture, divestitures opportunities as requested, and corporate activities and initiatives as required.

Essential Functions: The Rolling Finance Director, Americas position includes both creation of strategic vision, and tactical management including execution, examples include but are not limited to: 
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintains other planning and control procedures, analyze and report variances.
  • Lead and support execution of cost saving opportunities, profitability improvement plans and Capital efficiency (Working Capital, CapEX) seeking financial growth of the business
  • Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization
  • Investigate significant trends/variances in financial data.
  • Provide daily and/or weekly analysis and reporting on operational performance as it relates to the business activities including monitoring margins, variances, and giving feedback as well as highlighting opportunities for improvements to upper management.
  • Prepare and present narratives, graphs, and other reports as required to support business reviews, management and customer presentations.
  • Maintain full compliance with Company policies/procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley and all other applicable laws.
  • Serve as key liaison to coordinate financial business processes across the region. Manages Finance team with direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotional recommendations and work schedules
  • Leadership: Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross foundation teamwork and customer service. Ensure optimal deployment of resources to achieve project and business goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the finance function of a publicly-traded corporation in increasingly responsible leadership roles.
  • International experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee. 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration preferred.
  • CPA accreditation preferred.
  • Background in Industrial Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Additional language skills are highly desirable.
