Arconic is currently is search of a Senior Compensation Consultant to join our Core HR Resource Unit in Pittsburgh, PA.
The Sr. Compensation Consultant is the key point of contact for assigned Business Units/Resource Units on total compensation issues, e.g. Base Compensation, Variable Compensation, Long Term Incentives, Job Evaluation and Pay Practices, and Sales Incentive Plan Administration.
Major Activities/Key Challenges:
  • Compensation survey participation and analysis
  • Gather market intelligence on compensation practices/trends
  • Compensation structure design, development and maintenance
  • Job evaluation
  • Assist in the design and implementation of system, tools and processes for base and variable pay
  • Assist in the development of materials and delivery of training/education on total compensation, job evaluation, and corporate wide program changes and initiatives
  • Gain thorough understanding of compensation practices in North American markets and provide guidance and advice to businesses within those countries
  • Functional lead for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures integration
  • Ad hoc compensation projects
Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education:
  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a corporate environment.  There will be high volume work periods combined with critical deadlines to meet.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and strong customer focus.
Major Customers
  • All levels of management in Business and Resource Units
  • Business and Resource Unit HR Directors and staff
  • Interface with external compensation vendors


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources, Business Management, or Finance
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.         
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years compensation experience with a consulting firm or large public company
  • Minimum 2 years in sales incentive compensation design, planning and/or administration
  • Strong analytical, communications and interpersonal skills, including comfort interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Advanced PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
