We have an immediate need for a Business Planning & Process Specialist. This position is responsible for driving and improving processes to develop business plans, create master production schedules, integrate detailed scheduling activities, monitor/control order booking within the plan, designing/maintaining metrics, and drive planning to achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction and profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities include:
  • Provide data and process support for the Master Production Scheduler. Support of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) includes schedule verification, troubleshooting, and modifications.
  • Develop and maintain processes to better link the MPS to individual PC schedules.
  • Develop and maintain processes to better link the MPS to the DPW metal plan, invoice plan, demand plan, production plan, shipment plan.
  • Provide data and process support for the Integrated Business Management (IBM) process.
  • Develop tools and processes to account for inventory, engineer inventories based on the current system capabilities, and identify and solve problems to improve our system and reduce inventory levels at DPW, Danville, and satellite facilities. This includes developing and maintaining tools to view inventory in terms of physical weight as well as financial measures. It will also be necessary to conduct sensitivity analysis (e.g. effects of flow day reductions on WIP levels) to steer inventory reduction efforts.
  • Design and maintain plant wide metrics related to production, shipping, inventory, etc. and communicate with plant management.
  • Conduct analysis to identify potential process improvement opportunities. Analysis will relate the problem to the DPW business plan, quantify the benefits gained by implementation of a solution, and help provide direction for process improvement teams.
  • Take on the role of teacher within SCM, as well as other organizations within DPW, on supply chain management, industrial and systems engineering, and tools and processes to support DPW business objectives.
  • Support Industrial Engineer processes, RFA development/verification, etc., as needed.
  • Support ad hoc analysis related to production, shipments, financials, inventory, etc. and communicates findings to plant management.
  • Provide backup support for SCM Capacity Specialist. This includes possessing a working knowledge of the plant LP model and the supporting production and accounting data systems.
  • Understand that accident and injury prevention are equal in importance to production, quality, delivery, recovery and cost control.
  • Work safely and promote safety consciousness among other employees.
  • Lead in the promotion and practice of Arconic Production System concepts and philosophies within his/her span of control and responsibility.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years of experience in an Supply Chain Management, planning, or related function.
  • Extensive experience using querying, database, and spreadsheet software
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Information Technology
  • Working knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning and Master Production Scheduling.
