This opening is with Arconic - Whitehall Operations, a division of Arconic Engines – a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, aluminum and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets.  For more information on Arconic, visit us online at www.arconic.com/ 

This 1st shift position is located in Plant 4, Ti-Ingot Operations. As a Quality Technician, the responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Inspection of ingots for proper grinding and completed and correct information.
  • Review consumable and nonconsumable melt records and compile the process summary cover sheet.
  • Assist production with sorting ingot melt scrap and identification of other alloys using a spectrometer.
  • Bar marking and inspection.
  • Review of calibration data, equipment, and quality costs.
  • Arrange for X Ray of raw materials and review films.
  • Arrange for and submit material samples for chemical testing.
  • Write required reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Inspect cleanliness of VAR furnaces..


Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one-year experience performing quality tasks in a manufacturing environment, or a minimum of two years of manufacturing experience.
  • Successfully meet the standardized testing requirements. If applicant possesses a minimum of an associate degree, testing is not required.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Previous experience as Quality Technician, Inspector, or Quality Auditor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Training and/or education in Quality, Electronics, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Testmaster Spectrotest and X-Ray equipment preferred..
