Quality Tech II – Metallurgical
Essential Job Responsibilities;
 
  • Performs metallurgical sample preparation: cut, grind, mount and polish.
  • Prepares metallurgical samples for microstructure examination
  • Prepares inspection cards/data sheets for recording/maintaining results.
  • Performs minor maintenance and repair of test equipment
  • Performs processes in accordance with company procedures and specifications
  • Performs all necessary inspections, tests or calibrations in a timely manner 
  • Performs additional tasks as needed to support QA laboratory needs or as required by management
  • Works in safe manner that promotes the health and wellbeing of the individual and environment
  • Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions
  • Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor


Qualifications

Education / Requirements;
 
  • Quality Tech II - Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and interpret procedures and specification requirements, engineering drawings, charts and work instructions
  • Strong technical and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • High level of integrity, accuracy and dependability
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
