Position Description Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking an skilled Quality Tech for our Gauge Lab.

This job requires inspection and calibration of gauges and tooling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform entry level inspection and calibration of in-house gauges and tools used for product acceptance.
  • Maintain documentation and evidence of calibration on all tools and gauges.
  • Perform entry level reviews of calibration results for tightening or reducing of calibration frequency.
  • Coordinate with purchasing on gauges which require outside calibration.
  • Assist manufacturing and inspection with the recall of gauges.
  • Schedule outside suppliers for calibration of in-house tools, gauges and equipment.
  • Must be familiar with various gauges and calibration methods & equipment. Familiar with MIL-STD, ISO, & ANSI standards, and gauge calibration procedures. Prefer previous training and/or experience in calibration and inspection control.
  • Must have good knowledge of reading blueprints, basic shop math and record keeping skills.
  • Must know gage blocks, micro balls, thread wires, weight class, calibration arm, supermicrometer, linear check, torque transducer, height gage.
  • Proficient personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity.


Basic Qualifications Minimum 5 years of in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
