Job Description

Position Description Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) in Fullerton is seeking an skilled Quality Tech for our Source Inspection Department.

Summary
Performs detailed dimensional inspection for customer over-inspection. Performs Source Inspection on behalf of customers as defined in customer delegation procedures.  Completes defective material reports, data processing move transactions and first article reports as required.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect parts visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications and customer requirements.
  • Must utilize all precision measuring equipment and techniques as applicable, including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
  • Request N.D.T. evaluations as necessary.
  • Use statistical sampling plans; complete/verify various inspection reports-including S.P.C. charts, first article reports, and defective material and test reports.
  • Complete data processing move transactions as required.
  • Communicate any daily activities that may need to be passed forward to the next shift.
  • Must know how to read blueprints, and to use different gages, such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, threat gages, pain gages, high gages, specs, protrusion blocks, etc.

 


  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Quality Source Inspection experience of in a manufacturing environment
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
    • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
