Position Description
  • 2nd shift position (3:30pm-12:00am).
  • Perform the following key Test Laboratory skills as related to aerospace fasteners testing, examinations and planning activities.
  • Tensile/Shear/Fatigue/Recess Torque Testing
  • Micro-hardness/Rockwell Hardness testing
  • Metallurgical sample preparation and examinations to aerospace fastener standards
  • Receiving Inspection and Alloy Verification on raw materials used in manufacturing fasteners.
  • Environmental testing (salt spray).
  • Document mechanical tests and metallurgical examination results for in-process and final acceptance of fastener product.
  • Prepare quality testing and examinations plans utilizing customer drawings, routers and procurement specifications. 
  • Use precision tools/machines to perform and record dimensional inspections, mechanical tests and metallurgical examinations results on product to verify compliance with aerospace specifications and customer drawings.
  • Overtime may be required Monday through Friday and Saturdays as scheduled.
  • Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Fastener related testing and metallurgical examination experience preferred.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
  • Be able to stand 8 hours.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution. 


Basic Qualifications
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
