Since it opened in 1948, Arconic Davenport, Iowa aluminum facility has been at the forefront of American manufacturing. The Quality Systems Administrator is responsible for a wide variety of quality and process-related activities for the Sheet Finishing Department at Davenport Works. The Quality Systems Administrator position is responsible for supporting production goals and quality goals and assisting with the facilitation of problem solving activities.

Job Duties/Activities:
• Local Area Network Manager – assists new employees with ordering/obtaining access to necessary hardware and software
• Internal Audit Team – is a member of the plant-wide internal audit team, ensuring procedures are updated/followed and best practices are implemented
• Maintenance of the audit deficiencies database – maintenance and upkeep of the database and follow up on issues not resolved prior to agreed-upon deadlines • External Audits – assists external auditors with information requests and corrective actions as needed
• Management of probes orders – has responsibility for ordering of new and re-calibrated probes for the department and tracking in the GageTrak system • Sheet Finishing Department Home Page Management – updating of departmental website
• Overtime Administrator- Back Up – assists with scheduling and overtime assignment for hourly employees
• Document Administration – Manages the department’s document control system, ensuring that documents are accurate and kept up to date
• Training system documentation – helps administer the department’s electronic training records system, ensuring training gaps are identified and addressed • Acts as a resource or subject matter expert for problem solving initiatives in conjunction with processes
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of two years of work experience in an administrative or manufacturing environment.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Management from an accredited institution.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) and MS Outlook
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and compile data in a user friendly format.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task.
