Supervises and/or administers activities related to quality control including staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning surveillances as an organization’s quality representation in Precision Sheet and Integrated Services. Organizes and coordinates various sections of organization related to product quality. Plans and establishes schedules and follows up employee performance against estimates. Communicates and assists in nonconformance dispositioning from Supplier caused defects, including outsourced processes.

Position Duties:
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of quality inspectors for inspection of incoming material, in-process and finished fabricated parts
  • Lead, deploy, and train new process surveillances to measure process health versus performance, including documentation of such processes
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of quality inspectors engaged in operator self-verification and product support team activities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of quality inspectors engaged in tool equipment evaluation for repair or operating functionality
  • Interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings/sketches and directly provide guidance to quality personnel to ensure all requirements and product characteristics are understood.
  • Responsible for continuous evaluation of existing inspection methods and procedures and recommends/implements improvements.
  • Ensure direct reports are reporting quality metrics
  • Represents Quality department in continuous improvement and projects
  • Responsible for all inspection stamp distribution and log maintenance for purposes of traceability according to industry standards.
  • Administer eye exams for all persons evaluated and approved fir stamp use in inspection areas
  • Analyze data collected in corrective and preventive actions as well as continuous improvements and determine effectiveness.
  • Report any scrap needed for Quality Control
  • Review, approve, and complete FPA’s and Risk Assessments for outside processing to ensure all customer requirements are addressed and met.
  • Assist in performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Coach and Teach Human Performance Disciplines

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in a related field or equivalent or 4+ years of experience in a quality control environment or equivalent combination of both education and experience
  • Basic understanding of Quality System Regulations and ISO and AS9100 Standard
  • Some knowledge in operator self-inspection
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports in a quality manufacturing environment
