Job Description

Responsible for dimensional and functional testing and physical testing of all fasteners. Work closely with manufacturing engineers and production technicians to inspect and evaluate quality levels for aerospace fasteners and their components. Assists manufacturing in resolving manufacturing problems.

Follow final inspection procedures in compliance with military and commercial specifications.
Determine final inspections to be performed on engineering or developmental fasteners.
Perform source inspections and troubleshoot cause of drive or physical testing failures, when appropriate.
Inspect for discontinuities, head identification, damages, and mixed parts.
Establish and maintain final inspection records.
Perform all required inspections and tests on completed product in a timely manner.
Enter data in the network and information data systems..
Communicate rejections to appropriate team members.
Communicate final inspection program with other quality technicians including location stored items.
Assist manufacturing and answer questions regarding tests and rejections.
Analyze customer returns and report findings.
Investigate new methods of measuring and testing for continuous improvement.
Report accomplishments and roadblocks to appropriate teams.
Assist in definition of production area quality procedures and records.
Facilitate compliance with company quality, housekeeping, attendance policies and practices.
Helps to ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.
Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required.
Adheres to Arconic EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other Company Policies.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Must be able to pass required Inspection Certification Test
Minimum 1 year experience working in Aerospace Fastener Manufacturing
Minimum 1 year experience working in inspection
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
