Arconic Fastening Systems is looking for a motivated college grad, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, to be part of the Quality Engineering team at our growing aerospace plant in Tucson, AZ. The Quality Engineer I will be responsible for managing quality assurance interactions and quality related functions. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish/ maintain procedures supporting Quality
  • Promote company quality improvements
  • Evaluate and improve techniques for the control of Quality
  • Help to maintain the Quality System; evaluate and report on the performance of the Quality System
  • Provide Internal and External support to the organization including Manufacturing, Engineering, Customers and Suppliers.
  • Support the factory in On-Time delivery of product and product specification requirements.
  • Analyze Quality metrics and address issues.
  • Develop solutions to root cause.
  • Develop database and processes improvements for better process accuracy and increase through put.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited Institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.




Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer that the BS Degree in Engineering is in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering, from an accredited institution
  • Prefer 3 or more months of Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing (including internships)
  • Prefer 3 or more months of engineering experience in manufacturing (including internships)
