Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Quality Control Tech III – Inspection for our 2nd Shift at our Sylmar, CA location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Move completed jobs within facility to next operation
  • Must be able to understand geometrical dimensioning & tolerance
  • Ability to visually and mechanically measure and inspect parts utilizing final inspection tools
  • Must be able to interpret drawings
  • Perform First Article Inspections
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and measure parts in accordance with blueprints
  • Have basic knowledge of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment
  • Provide support to machine shop as needed
  • Must have correctable vision to meet the requirements of company work instructions and procedures
  • Ability to read and understand shop routers, sketches, Customer Drawings and specifications, internal procedures, sampling tables and use measuring instruments.
  • Be able to maintain a safe and organized workstation and follow all company policies and safety guidelines
  • Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays as required by business needs


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ work experience as an Inspector, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this option.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with material types and processes common to fastener and bearing products preferred
  • Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) knowledge preferred
