Job Description

The QC Supervisor is responsible for day to day operations and will accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results while ensuring the safety of all personnel working in or around department on all shifts. 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for directing, organizing and planning all day-to-day aspects of QC operations
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding quality control department goals including output, safety, on time delivery, and people initiatives
  • Ensure all environmental & safety policies are followed
  • Provide leadership, direction and motivation to people in assigned shift
  • Conducts training, completes performance appraisals and initiates timely corrective action
  • Monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions to meet goals
  • Schedule and/or approve overtime and time off
  • Solving problems to the root to prevent recurrence
  • Effectively communicating with others within and outside the workgroup
  • Maintain all production and related quality assurance records
  • Direct implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing) including 5S, standardize work, work balance and product flow
  • Conducts regular operational audits to ensure that safety, quality, production and housekeeping practices are followed as required
  • Identifies, develops and implements measures to improve quality control methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Own cost savings initiatives (degrees of implementation)
  • Review daily production/quality control reports and forms
  • Approves employees timecards and submits hours for payroll
  • Support Manufacturing Manager in meeting department goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced education preferred
  • Supervisory experience to be in manufacturing/plant environment
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be available to work all shifts and weekends / holidays as required
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SAP and/or an MRP system a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphere
