Job Description

  • Generates Test Reports in accordance customer purchase order, procurement specifications, pre-shipper and router requirements.
  • Generates Quality documents to flow down special process specifications, revision levels, testing and inspection sampling plans to subcontractor performing special processes.
  • Process Quality Purchasing Requisitions into the purchasing system (Oracle).
  • Maintains in-house and off-site Quality documents for accuracy and completeness in accordance with company record retention requirements.
  • Acts as liaison between Sales, Planners, Accounting, Shipping, Customer Service Representatives, Engineering & Purchasing to mitigate discrepancies associated to specifications, contracts, test results, drawings, requisitions, special processes and customer complaints.
  • Processes Customer Feedback and Return Material Authorizations.
  • Performs delegated Source Inspection for various customers as required in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Facilitates customer Source Inspection for various customers as required.
  • Performs varied and routine clerical tasks to support department operations and shipments
  • Compiles & computes data for Quality Management reports. Posts data to various records and forms, makes and maintains charts, gathers data from various sources and prepares reports, answers and files correspondence, performs similar duties requiring the exercise of clerical office skills and specification (government/customer specs) and configuration knowledge.
  • Types correspondence, reports, memoranda, special projects, technical papers and related materials for department and Quality Management as requested.
  • Scans Quality documents into electronic record retention system.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and with other individuals to support/achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Work overtime and Saturdays as necessary in support shipments & subcontracting.
  • Must have good communication and writing skills in the English language.
  • Must have good computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience: 2-4 years in the fastener or aerospace industry preferred.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprint and use measuring instruments.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
