Job Description

The Quality Control Dimensional Inspector main function is to assure that first article, in process and final inspections are being performed on components as deemed necessary. 
  • Perform a full range of mechanical inspections using ATOS III-Triple Laser Scanner, CMM (ZEISS), standard mechanical gauges and hand tools to ensure conformance of parts to applicable standards, specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Responsible for the quality inspections/documentation and identifying ways to improve current process.
  • Be able to generate Inspection sheets from supplied drawings for each project.
  • Generate non-conformance reports
  • Communicate with Design Engineering, Internal/External vendors and Purchasing to resolve quality issues
  • Assure that all inspection standards/gauges are calibrated and kept up to date.


Basic Qualifications:
  •  High school diploma from an accredited institution. 
  • Minimum (3) years’ experience in programming and operating Zeiss CMM
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in programming and operating a Laser Scanner.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience performing mechanical inspections by completing setups and using standard inspection equipment including gauges, hand tools, surface plate, optical comparator and microhite equipment.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in GD&T dimensioning principles and blueprint interpretation.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience with performing first article (aerospace preferred), in-process and final inspections and be capable of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience using statistical process controls
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Minimum Three (3) years experience in using ATOS Scanner and Zeiss CMM
  • Must be self-directed and detail oriented
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have good computer skills and knowledge of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel, Etc.)
  • Must be able to follow any written and approved process control documents
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work overtime as required to meet production needs
  • Must be able to read and follow a typical manufacturing router.
