Job Description

 The primary role of this position is to apply application analysis, design, development, programming and implementation skills using data retrieved from process control and shop floor equipment that spans multiple computing environments.  The role will also be required to convert legacy Access%5C%5CVBA databases.  These systems directly support manufacturing, finance, supply chain, quality and process/yield improvement activities of the company and are essential to the company's on-going success in these areas.

  • Expected to assist in the implementation of Arconic's EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.

Essential Job Functions
  • Designs, develops, documents, programs and implements software tools for various facets of the business 
  • Convert legacy Access databases to .net
  • Assist users with data mining
  • Learn, support & assist users with systems
  • Executes miscellaneous programming. 
  • Consults with the requester regarding programming requirements, determines the feasibility of requests and suggests alternatives, additions and approaches in fulfilling user needs.
  • Develops specifications and the logic required to implement specific programs. 
  • Tests and debugs programs to verify results and documents the program in compliance with corporate standards.
  • Pursue continuous learning consistent with changes in technology and use this to influence IS direction.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year SQL Server experience
  • Minimum 1 year SQL Server toolset (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS) and TOAD for Oracle/SQL Server
  • Minimum 1 year experience in application programming
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder')
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with emphasis on programming.
  • Need to be able to write advanced queries using T-SQL
  • 1 year experience with relational database concepts
  • Strong skills in VBA and Excel
  • C#, .NET development
  • PowerBI experience
  • Strong analysis, documentation and programming skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in-person and over the phone when interacting with Dover user community, HIT or GID.
  • Exposure to Manufacturing and/or Finance environments
  • Self-starter capable of managing small to medium sized projects within set budget and timeframe.
