The primary role of the Programmer Analyst position is to analyze, design, develop, and implement systems that support the business process needs of a manufacturing facility. The primary challenge of the role is to ensure the solutions can become common for other plants in the business unit. These projects will require advanced technical knowledge with some background in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and process control. This also includes knowledge of reporting toolsets. Provides technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to less experience teammates.

This role will require significant interaction with the manufacturing, engineering, and IT organization on the factory floor, making effective communication with the business essential. The qualified candidate must be a self-starter capable of managing medium sized projects within an established budget and timeline.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Analyze, design, develop, and implement systems using the Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite including SQL Server, Reporting Services, Integration Services, and Analysis Services,, VB,net, and various process control data capture and visualization tools.
  • Interact with necessary business process and systems owners to effectively understand requirements and implement the appropriate systems solution.
  • Effectively utilize a standardized project life cycle and management methodology to manage projects, communicate status, and deliver work to schedule and budget.
  • Execute work in compliance with all appropriate audit and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution in the following disciplines preferred: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Processing.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience.
  • Ability to identify, quantify, and develop key metrics from manufacturing activity and interpret those into financial impact.
  • Experience in use of query languages in support of integrated business applications (i.e. RPG and STRQRY for iSeries, Microsoft SQL, .net, C#, WinForm).
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a self-starter with advanced computer skills; excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide 24x7 support for applications in support of the manufacturing process.
