Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
  • Ensures that company standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of materials and services.
  • Plans and organize activities of the material control department to best utilize personnel to achieve short and long-range goals.
  • Administer controls on receipt and acknowledgement of materials and supplies and the maintenance of purchasing records.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of materials.
  • Analyze and evaluate inventory and supplier delivery problems and recommend solutions.
  • Check the load of components stores.
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function.
  • Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of storeroom and central supply personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering material and supplies.
  • Responsible for the management of all activities related to planning of raw material procurement, heading, cut-off, and slug-presses.
  • Responsible for the management of all activities in ensuring site’s monthly shipment goals are met
  • Able to create strategies on cost saving initiatives related to raw material ordering and planning
  • Overall Management Responsibilities include overseeing employees in the Production Control, Shipping and Receiving units
  • Monthly check of backlog, past dues, main of inventory levels and check late duties for MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
  • Analyze and evaluate inventory and delivery problems and recommend solutions.
  • Oversee functions related to production and inventory control, and review completed sales orders.
  • Responsible for creating more robust systems around level loading (ability to work with operations/engineering/etc.)
  • Ability to be a change agent in directing flow on the shop floor that supports the shipping plans
  • Working with the operations to ensure production levels are met at work centers/departments
 
Skills:
  • Ability to manage high mix, small lot quantity orders
  • Ability to manage multiple level bills of material (up to 6-8 levels); or multi-level master scheduling
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management position in Materials and/or Production Control
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this option.
  •  This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) which requires U.S. Person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPIM (certificate Production and Inventory Management) a plus
  • Aerospace Fastener industry experience preferred
